Horse Drawn Carriage Restoration Advice

Completely Restored Antique Doctors Buggy located in Bunnell Florida.
Originally Manufactured in Waterloo New York including all documentation

This Antique Doctors Buggy was restored by Vintage-Restorations. It is a Cornish, piano type body.(not cut under). It still has the manufacturers plate on the back showing that it is originally from Waterloo Manufacturing Company in Waterloo New York. With the manufacturers owners names also on the plate-Leonard Story and Paul G.Walsh.
It is rare to find an antique buggy with the plate still on it.
I have corresponded with the Waterloo Library and Historical Society, and Terwilliger Museum in Waterloo NY and they have sent me some documentation to show that it was manufactured there.

Buggy Before Restoration

The Waterloo museum has said they would like to purchase it but have yet to find a benefactor to finance it.
I have letters from the museum you can read if you like and they will go with the buggy.
I also have rubbings of the markings from the metal parts on which you can see some of the Patent Numbers & Dates-the process of restoration is well documented with photographs.
The frame, wheels and shaft have been stained in a honey pine color to show the natural beauty of the wood and the body is done in black. The paint on everything has been sealed under a clear coat.
The type of paint we use is the same as is used when doing autobody work-so will last a long time.
The seat is done in champagne upholstery with a foldable auto type top with opera glass and matching beige interior.
The front foot panel/splash guard is done in patent leather (easier to wipe clean).
We still have the original seat cushions, top and curtains that it came with.
Everything about how we do our restoration can be read about on the website.
This doctors buggy is a restored antique-it is not a replica or reproduction.
Because it has been restored to Museum Quality and has the original manufacturers plate -We are asking $3000 OBO for this buggy.
If this is the type of buggy you would be interested in owning please fill out the contact form
